Baby #2 - Update

Baby Schonscheck at 11 weeks

I had my 12 week check up with my doctor today. Actually, I am 11 weeks, 3 days, but who is counting. :) At first they couldn't hear the heart beat with the doppler, so they asked if I wanted an ultrasound just to double check. I wasn't too worried about the baby because I have been feeling little flutters here and there, so I knew all was well. I did want to see the baby though, so I told them I would like an ultrasound to check the heart beat.

It was there at 184 beats per minute. That is a little high, but the baby was moving around, so I am sure that had something to do with it. And any child of mine will not have a slow heart rate because they are going to be a bit hyper anyway. :)

The doctor said everything looks good and I will go back in 4 weeks. We should be able to find out what we are having the second week of March when I am 18 weeks. Keep your fingers crossed for a little girl. :)

I like they way you think. I got one of those Intelligender kits (just for fun) to see what I am having. At least if it comes out boy I can prepare myself and be happy if it is a girl. Of course I just want a happy and healthy baby, but I'm wishing very hard for a girl.
