Peyton's Theater Experience

Not sure where my brain has been, but I decided that I would attempt to take Peyton to the theater. Not the movie theater...the actual theater. Like I said...not sure where my brain went.

Two weeks ago we took him to see Disney on Ice. That was a little less theater because it was full of kids, music and loudness. Peyton was a bit scared at first with the characters, but was overall okay with the whole thing. He ended up having a good time watching the skaters and sat nicely the entire time.

This past weekend, I got really brave and decided to take him to see Jesus Christ Superstar. Don't think that I was so brave that we were sitting down on the floor...we got balcony seats, but I wanted to see how he would do. If you don't do things how do you know?? So I bought two seats to the 2pm show and away the two of us went. We hiked up to the ceiling to find out seats. I brought juice, milk, a blanket and his pacifier (wasn't sure what we would need). I reminded him that when the lights go out that he needs to be very quiet and watch the show.

I was very impressed with him and so were other people around us. He sat pretty still and watched the show intently. He really likes music, so he was intrigued by all the music, dancing and singing. I am hoping that he will be able to go see the Nutcracker around Christmas. We'll see.

So one more thing checked off of Peyton's list to do. The next thing will be a movie at a theater. That should be interesting. :)
