Baptism

Connor was baptized on Halloween (October 31st). The church we go to has two services...one was an annointing and the other the actual baptism. I think it is just a bunch of screwing around for a relatively simple sacrament, but we followeed along. My brother and sister are Connor's Godparents, but they couldn't be here for it all.

My brother came down for the annointing, and although it was the smaller of the two ceremonies, it was great to have him here to be part of the day. Molly couldn't come down because she was stuck at school. Connor wore the same outfit that his Godfather wore 28 years ago...and his Great Uncle wore 48 years ago. It was pretty fragile.

Baptism

Hi there
The actual baptism was two weeks after his annointing and we were very honored to have my co-workers stand in for Cory and Molly. Vivian and Michael are very dear friends of mine and I was very excited that they said they would be the substitutes.

My mom made Connor's second outfit from my wedding dress and it fit him perfectly. It will be drycleaned and sealed to wait for the day my grandson's wear it...in about 30 years.
