Peyton started laughing this past weekend. It was just a cute giggle, but it was laughing nonetheless. It took a little bit of tickling to get it out of him. I'm sure this is not the last we'll hear of it.

He is getting to be a big boy. He always has a smile on his face...and something in his mouth. He drools constantly and loves to put his bib, burp rag, blanket, shirt, hands, etc. in his mouth. I haven't seen any teeth coming through yet, but I'm sure they are making their way up and out. If nothing else, we have a lot of wet clothes!
Peyton will be 4 months old on Sept 6th. (Man how time flies!) According to our unscientific scale at home, he is about 15 pounds now. Well past his 6 lb 12 oz birth weight. (Even past doubling his birth weight) Not very chubby though (just cute baby fat)...he has skinny parents, what do you expect?? :) When he is hungry though, he expects food immediately...as if he hasn't eaten all day.
We have started trying solid foods. He doesn't really get the whole spoon idea and most of what goes in still comes out. I figure this is going to take some practice just like everything else, so we give him a few bites of fruit or cereal each night to help him get used to the spoon. Soon enough he'll be ready for a whole meal, but right now it is pretty much just playing with his food.
Overall, he's a very happy, content little boy and that is all we can ask for.
