6 month Check-up

Peyton went to his 6 month check-up last Thursday. Overall he is very healthy and everything looks good. He is 26 1/2 inches and 18 lb 14 oz. YIKES! He is what we call "husky".

The doctor did tell us that he was the weight of an 8 month old. Oops. So he has one less bottle per day and more solid foods. He seems to be really happy with eating the different foods. He likes all the combination meals, none of that single food stuff. It has only been a few days, but even his double chin is getting a little smaller.

It is a sad state when your 9 month pants don't fit at 6 months. Hopefully after his "diet" they will start to fit again. Peyton seems to be happy with his new diet and isn't starving, so we'll see what happens.

The doctor also said that he isn't moving very much because he is too fat and it probably hurts his knees. Who would have thought that all that cute baby fat would have been such an issue.

He did get his 6 month shots as well along with a flu shot. He reacted a whole lot better than last time and was only crabby for about 2 days...and one of them was at daycare.

He has cut one tooth and has his second one sitting right there ready to come through. I imagine by the end of the week he will have two little teeth. Still a very happy boy and VERY talkative...not sure where he gets that from. :)

So dumb question, I know, but how does one less bottle and more solid food equate to a diet? The bottle has more fat than the food he gets?
