Making A Mess

Peyton has been really enjoying his new solid foods. He has one less bottle a day, but it doesn't seem to be bother him at all. He gets some fruit and cereal at lunch and some kind of dinner meal and fruit at dinner. He is so fun to watch because he gets excited about each bite. It is also really funny to see him eat things he doesn't like. Just the shutter makes you laugh.

The other day we gave him the ability to "feed himself". I think he was so confused by what was going on...he ended up with food everywhere. He kind of understands what needs to happen, so he attempts to get the spoon to his mouth, but most of the time it just ends up in his nose, or eyes, or hair. He took his yogurt cup and instead of dumping it on the tray, he dumped in his lap, so he had yogurt (which I hate) on his tray, in his diaper, under his man boobs, on his face, and everywhere in between. It was a MESS!

We won't be offering him that option very often being that I had to give him a pre-bath before his bath, but he seemed to have a good time anyway.
