Thanksgiving Weekend

Handsome Boy!!

Peyton's 1st Thanksgiving was good, but the weekend was more eventful than the day itself. Of course we ended up with our 1st ear infection. Sickness never comes at a convenient time. He was a trooper and went right along with everything.

We went to Ryan's Grandparent's house and had lunch with other people in their retirement community. Potluck is always a little scary with old people so we didn't eat much there. Peyton was a hit because he was the littlest person there and was such a good boy. Ibuprofen is a dream!!! Once his ear didn't hurt, he was himself.

After the Great-Grandparents, we went to Ryan's parents house to have dinner. This food was safe and good, so we filled up. Peyton had sweet potatoes and turkey (the Gerber kind), but tried some mashed potatoes and gravy and a roll. I still think adult food is a little too strong for him. He is more content with his own food...which is fine with me.

Because of his ear and his cold, we didn't last very late into the night and headed home. Friday and Saturday was time to set up christmas stuff. Peyton loves to see the lights on the tree, but his father is teaching him how to take the ornaments off the tree...that will come back to bite him in the butt I'm sure.

We had a pretty uneventful weekend...we rested, got better, did a little shopping, and got ready for the week. Peyton is better...still has a cold, but with daycare he always has a cold, so it is common place in our house.
