Peyton's Ear Tubes

Peyton got tubes in his ears last thursday. He had been getting repeated ear infections, but the true problem was the fluid behind his eardrums. He had fluid for over 3 months and the doctor said that as the fluid sits there, the water starts to go away and you end up with a goopy, sticky mess.
It ended up that Peyton started having some hearing loss in both of his ears. He couldn't hear whispers. Not that I whisper very often, but you know that if he was in a loud room, he probably couldn't hear things specifically for him.
So we when ahead and got tubes in his ears. The left ear had that gunky, glue behind the eardrum and the doctor needed to suck it all out. The right ear just has fluid behind it. Both ears look good and he is doing fine.
He is really understanding words now and is saying them more accurately than before. It is fun to hear now. Unfortunately he is no better behaved because of it. :)
